Yes, this is the right place to respond. I have stopped doing ‘personal’ posts on the Barts-MS blog because I have been criticised for using the platform to promote myself and my self-interests. I now post under BartsMSBlog and respond as ‘Gavin’.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the other readers. As you know I am a big proponent of self-monitoring, self-diagnosis and self-management. Being able to diagnosis yourself as having SPMS is just a natural extension of this philosophy.

What I have tried to highlight in these SPMS posts is the reluctance of HCPs to diagnose SPMS for complex reasons. One reason is to be able to continue treating people with SPMS and for protecting you from ‘bad news’.
