You are either a liberal, or you are not a liberal, there is no halfway house. Some would argue that using the slippery slope analogy to deny people the right to choose is mixing up issues. The ‘right to assisted suicide’ is simply that, ‘the right to assisted suicide’, it is not euthanasia. They are very different things.

The euthanasia debate is another topic altogether, which is clouding the assisted suicide issue. Euthanasia is not what we are discussing here. My wife is not asking me, nor anyone else, to euthanise her in the future she is simply asking for assistance with her own suicide if and when her need arose.
